Sajou embroidery linen is high quality with a regular weave et just enough starch.
These two characteristics make embroidery a pleasure and contribute to the beauty of the finished work.

100% cotton Retors du Nord is made of 4 separable strands in 20 meters. It is slightly finer than other brands with a delightful sheen which slides with ease through your embroidery fabric. It has a lustrous appearance, quite close to silk. 
In most cases, and notably for counted cross stitch, you only need two strands.
Our embroidery floss Retors du Nord is presented on cards which makes it a pleasure to use and much easier to store. The other benefit: the end of jumbled unusable balls of thread.

For ecological reasons, Retors du Nord thread is not colourfast.

To make a thread colourfast involves using highly polluting treatments, for us, totally unjustified for embroidery purposes.

However, it can be washed up to 40°C - just be careful never to use boiling water or bleach.
