Soft draping wool with a texture woven kind of like a matlassè, basket weave pattern with a slight sheen flat on the opposite. There is a little transparency because of the color but there is body to this. You can make a soft shirt, or line for a dress. It is soft - think Sharon Stone Basic Instinct. It's hard to describe this is so beautiful, I did not believe it was cotton, drapes like a challis but in a twill weave. Light airy black silk that looks like a semi sheer crepe de chine. It has a little give. It came from Calamo but I have never seen a silk like this before. It will be very nice as a second layer under another sheer. It has a little sheen to it. I love it. Aqua floating tulip print semi sheer. I actually laid some aqua bright under it (didn't buy it but can) and it was too much. In the image I have an aqua silk twill in stock leaning more green and lighter which is much nicer - however not as soft draping as a georgette, it will probably soften up if washed LMK if you have any questions.
