This is FASHION denim. Please note there are new photos of current batch. I love this denim, it has been softened, distressed and faded. You will see some variance in the fade and fade marks hard to see on the computer, marbling retro acid washed vibe -  part of the deal. Perfect for obvious jeans, skirts, jackets, great if you want to leave a raw edge.  Candiani Italian selvedge denim. Soft. About 11+ ounce. It has been treated and washed. At first this may look like a simple stripe but upon closer inspection this stripe is extra special especially when looking at the weave on the wrong side. The stripes have varying types if weave on a natural cotton base, the green are raised. The colors are fantastic, everything about this piece shows an attention to detail that is disappearing, this mill has been "acquired" by an industry behemoth. This is one of the pre-sell out rolls. A couple of details make this piece special, when you look close the way it is woven gives it texture and dimension, the red is overlapped with tiny ivory cotton threads and in between are grey pinstripes very tiny and every other one is woven in a different pattern. Also this has a bit of stretch to it so if you want to make a wrapped snug type garment this will be to your advantage, or you can ignore. This is not your ordinary cotton and the color of this stripe....Crisp, but still light, suitable for walking shorts, box pleated skirts, crisp dresses depending. Can do some pants but with this weave you want to strengthen the knee area unless they are a wide leg. This is amazing, actually it has a sheen that looks and feels like silk linen but it is woven with cupro. Woven with a two tone sunkissed palette, weight is heavy enough for dresses, pants, summer jackets, stripe work. Not a "lightweight" fabric as in a shirting weight but still a Spring/Summer fabric with a crumpled suiting vibe has drape and body and gives a luxe satin linen vibe. IT is gorgeous. I have 2 variations on this denim, it has a special premium finish with a subtle two tone color of tan and indigo. Of all the samples I washed this was pretty much exactly the same in terms of the drape a softness. There was some lint I rolled off it may have some from all the other pieces washed together.  Variation stretch: Soft draping perfect for gored skirts soft dresses.
