This grading book teaches a hands-on method for grading women's garment patterns with speed and accuracy using the pivot & shift methods. This method was employed by professional pattern designers prior to the introduction of computer software. Here's the method: You stack sheets of paper, one for each size, then shift and pivot them, cutting as you go. When you're done, you have all the sizes of the pattern already cut and ready to use, no tracing, no printing out in wide width paper -- it's all a cutting process. The book includes kimono sleeves and more complex bodices and collars. It's perfect if you're not doing computer aided design (CAD) or planning on it. Heavily illustrated with oversized cutting diagrams and detailed text instructions.Â

Another Navy Italian Soft Draping Caftan Wool Gauze
This is so wonderful, it is full of drape and weight for summer caftans. Yes, this is perfect for sheerness over a bathing suit or slip, this feels amazing. The weave is a little coarser and polished than the other, you can make a kimono cut style jacket. Kind of a day to night dressing gown. Gives good bias.

Aqua Silk Crepe Tulip Print
Aqua floating tulip print semi sheer. I actually laid some aqua bright under it (didn't buy it but can) and it was too much. In the image I have an aqua silk twill in stock leaning more green and lighter which is much nicer - however not as soft draping as a georgette, it will probably soften up if washed LMK if you have any questions. Semi sheer silk crepe. Price is below wholesale.
