Lighter denim twill, the surface is softer not raw or polished like some others I have carried. The twill is fine with a two tone natural. This is 100% cotton and it's hard to believe because it has this feel of similar suiting that is usually viscose poly. It is soft with drape, second image is a little lighter to show the weave there is a diagonal as in a twill but the surface is pretty smooth, saturated color, suitable for suits and dresses, slacks, 3/4 length jacket over a dress. If you appreciate raw natural fibers you will love this. It is a melange of mostly wool with what appears to be a cotton warp, there is a small percentage of silk but does not feel like it.
