I always like to keep a nice white shirting in stock. This version is a little different, it has a laundered crumple and a micro twill weave. It is pretty much opaque with a slight transparency for a shirt weight. Light weight, soft drape for blouses and shirts. I love it. The warp is made from a very fine clear nylon threads with cotton going the opposite direction but it appears totally white - it creates the slight texture in the surface. From S.M. initials. Light cotton poplin shirting, print is like a photocopy of moonstones then tinted in a sagebrush green and lined up like a polka dot. Cotton shirting is light a little transparency, has some sizing so should soften with a wash. Linen cotton summer pant weight but also suitable for tops and soft skirts, color is a cool ivory or winter white, there is a little texture in the twill weave, it has a special finish that creates extra drape. Has a usable selvedge with a twill weave really nice. This is exceptional. Suitable for summer pants drawstring or other, dresses, skirts, blouses. Italian cotton blend shirting, light weight but opaque, the weave is a very tiny twill with a subtle sateen finish. Perfect for shirts and dresses especially ones that wrap tight with gathers - this has quite a bit of stretch to it. Also trim out the collars and cuffs with a contrast. Loro Piana deadstock, a beautiful soft draping linen shirting, the weave is fine but not super tight, it has a subtle slub, there is a slight transparency, perfect for tank tops. There is a special machine that makes this, it's a mystery, the base is a nice medium weight crisp cotton with good body for many types of garments, shirts, dresses, skirts, then there are little rayon ribbons with one edge woven into the fabric so it looks kind of like a satin tuck, you cannot tell on the opposite side.
