Dark rich cabernet high pile alpaca coating but wait this isn't just a pile.....the fibers are clipped in an irregular pattern to give is a finished look designer fur look not just furry. This is a special treatment. This does have some drape, it is not stiff so you can work a cocoon shape, there is a nap. Also will be nice for collars and cuffs in a coat but honestly this is soft so the more the better. I have to add some light to the photos so you can see the texture but this is a dark color. Wool knit jacket weight black wool knit when compared to a tee jersey but this is not super thick sort of a firm ponte weight. Suitable for jackets, tunics, depending on design maybe a shift dress or skirt type. You can use like a woven. Excellent quality from a top mill. Jacket weight, double weave two layers woven together, one is dark blue with a diagonal texture pattern, the other is charcoal smooth, this is very soft, mechanical stretch but a little more on the cross grain.
