Soft draping wool with a texture woven kind of like a matlassè, basket weave pattern with a slight sheen flat on the opposite. It's hard to describe this is so beautiful, I did not believe it was cotton, drapes like a challis but in a twill weave. Lighter denim twill, the surface is softer not raw or polished like some others I have carried. The will is fine with a two tone natural. Comparing to others this is about a 9 ounce (don't get hung up on fabric weights). Suitable for denim skirts, lighter denim type pants, heavier work shirts.
