Just a little work of art, they just don't make buttons like they used to! Glossy taupe graph relief with rope that appears like it is woven into it. I don't know how they made this but the rope is part of the button as seen on the back. Height is about 3/8" Suitable for jackets, coats, cardigans. Not super heavy. Sizes on drop down. Vintage policy: all vintage items are sold as is. They are special works of art from a time and place when design and quality were standard. These are from Italy. The quality, the concept, and attention to detail are all superb. There may be handmade finishes. I recommend always testing any washing. Usually cool water hang dry is fine if on a garment. No dryer. No hot sun. Test wash them on the fabric first. Some buttons were made in two pieces and may need some adhesive repair at some point which can be easily glued back. Medium weight not super light and drapey. Both sides have something to offer. Can give some bias drape. Wonderful designer gauzy jacquard with a heart pattern in a hand drawn style. White is pretty white but leans warm when contrasted with optical white but on it's own is pretty white. Weave has varying gauze weaves inside the heart and outside. Suitable for blouses billowy or a simple cami underlined and party skirts. Italian super soft luxury micro baby rib wool jersey in a heathered charcoal. Finer and lighter than the other version, subtlety semi sheer, some cross grain stretch. Italian wool chunky sweater knit with a fantastic graphic pattern in grey flannel and black. Mechanical stretch, I would trim this out in a hand knitted ribbing out of something special, maybe an old sweater or something vintage cut up for trim.
