Lighter denim twill, the surface is softer not raw or polished like some others I have carried. The will is fine with a two tone natural. Comparing to others this is about a 9 ounce (don't get hung up on fabric weights). Suitable for denim skirts, lighter denim type pants, heavier work shirts. Wonderful heavy cotton coatings with a texture on both side, woven like a double weave with the appearance and weight of some layers. Suitable for vests and coats. Will also be nice for spa.  Width: 58" 100% cotton Italian designer surplus

Up close the weave has a melange, the dark stripes are blue and crimson the lighter are crimson and butter yellow blended. There is a little irridescent finish, it is a cotton poly blend with a sculptural drape similar to a duschesse satin. Weight is like a Spring Summer raincoat type. Will make a fantastic summer bag, hat, car coat, pencil skirt with a Romeo Gigli sash sculpted. Mix and match with other patterns and fabrics. Produced before this mill was acquired by Loro Piana. Italian shirt buttons, rim is higher about 1/8" and covered in brass color around a simple ivory shirt button. Price per button. Made in Italy, hand selected, imported. Vintage policy: all vintage items are sold as is. They are special works of art from a time and place when design and quality were standard. These are from Italy. The quality, the concept, and attention to detail are all superb. There may be handmade finishes. I recommend always testing any washing. Usually cool water hang dry is fine if on a garment. No dryer. No hot sun. Test wash them on the fabric first. Some buttons were made in two pieces and may need some adhesive repair at some point which can be easily glued back. Soft draping wool with a texture woven kind of like a matlassè, basket weave pattern with a slight sheen flat on the opposite. There is a little transparency because of the color but there is body to this. You can make a soft shirt, or line for a dress. It is soft - think Sharon Stone Basic Instinct. Light cotton poplin shirting, print is like a photocopy of moonstones then tinted in a earthy brownish terracotta and lined up like a polka dot. Cotton shirting is light a little transparency, has some sizing so should soften with a wash. Soft summer pant weight, slub in the weave, stripes are woven in a special way with a fade between colors. Taupe, navy, lime, yellow, coral. You can make many different types of garments with this. Pale ice blue in a gorgeous luxury weight cotton sateen. This is opaque with quite a bit of body, perfect for a dramatic shirt with voluminous and/or structured sleeves. Used by G$cci but more importantly from a top mill that produces gorgeous tweeds. This is 100% virgin wool, it is soft with varying textures in the fiber. Underline to your preference with an ivory charmeuse (I can special order if interested in quality silk) for a Parisian jacket. You can also use the sheerness, will make a gorgeous wrap or poncho style covering. This would usually cost at least 150 to 200, please take advantage. Investment sewing. Price per yard.
