Italian ribbed jersey looks like a 4 x 1(or 2) - the weave is fine and soft. Opacity is about 98% if you stretch it becomes slightly transparent. This is a rare find. It is top quality and perfect for layering under sweaters, lounging, long underwear, tank tops, leave in a soft drape or you can make something a little fitted. It is all wool so gives cross grain with the rib not much in the other direction. You can make a turtle neck or tank top, a loose t shirt. It is absolutely gorgeous. Color is a slate blue grey.
