I have never seen this before, one side is find of like a fleecy fuzzy brushed hand - the other is a polished twill weave. It is virgin wool 100% and reminds of something from Pendleton or like a warm worker shirt, could also be a heavy liner to a lighter weatherproof work jacket. This is one of my favorites right now - it has an interesting textured weave in a geometric pattern, it is very soft, you can even make pull on pants with an elastic waist, skirts, soft jackets. Medium weight not super light and drapey. Both sides have something to offer. Can give some bias drape. Premium denim with a special premium finish for keeping the stretch in shape and also premium finish on the dye - made with climate forward practices. This denim has 3% recycled elastine and offers extra stretch. Think Fashion on this, tight skirts and dresses, insets on jackets, etc (and jeans). Sold by the yard and swatches available with both as is and washed - select from drop down. Sew directly or to remove starch please lay flat in a tub for 30 min to a day, hang straight, and press/reshape while slightly damp. Do not throw in washer and dryer. There wasn't any serious marking from the washer in the first wash with soap. Down the road it you choose to use the washer please turn inside out. NO dryer. 

This is one of my favorites, It has a good feel not super stiff, good indigo color in a twill that mostly shows the indigo color, not the lighter, along with a slub so it is extra blue. Softened up nicely. If you appreciate raw natural fibers you will love this. It is a melange of mostly wool with what appears to be a cotton warp, there is a small percentage of silk but does not feel like it. It feels like a nubby just raw rough weave of natural fibers mostly wool. Used by Rick Owens. Jacket weight, suitable for garments, accessories, shoes, hats. Undyed cotton kind of a plain weave heavy gauzey muslin, double weave, 2 layers held together with sashiko stitching. Will soften after washing and wearing. Up close the weave has a melange, the dark stripes are blue and crimson the lighter are crimson and butter yellow blended. There is a little irridescent finish, it is a cotton poly blend with a sculptural drape similar to a duschesse satin. Weight is like a Spring Summer raincoat type. Will make a fantastic summer bag, hat, car coat, pencil skirt with a Romeo Gigli sash sculpted. Mix and match with other patterns and fabrics. Produced before this mill was acquired by Loro Piana. This is amazing, actually it has a sheen that looks and feels like silk linen but it is woven with cupro. Woven with a two tone sunkissed palette, weight is heavy enough for dresses, pants, summer jackets, stripe work. Not a "lightweight" fabric as in a shirting weight but still a Spring/Summer fabric with a crumpled suiting vibe has drape and body and gives a luxe satin linen vibe. IT is gorgeous.
