There is a special machine that makes this, it's a mystery, the base is a nice medium weight crisp cotton with good body for many types of garments, shirts, dresses, skirts, then there are little rayon ribbons with one edge woven into the fabric so it looks kind of like a satin tuck, you cannot tell on the opposite side. 14 oz sturdy raw denim but not the rawest, medium light blue denim. Suitable for jeans, jackets, coats, accessories. Slightly softer than a typical raw denim but still raw. Seam will fade after wearing if you are looking for that "look"just wear this in on its own and then wash or dry clean.  Care guidance:  I recommend just wearing this in, do not pre wash before sewing. If you must remove some starch lay flat and soak for at least an hour, hang straight to drip dry, press and reshape when damp repeat if you like. Sanforized.  Width: 62" Thailand

I have 2 variations on this denim, it has a special premium finish with a subtle two tone color of tan and indigo. Of all the samples I washed this was pretty much exactly the same in terms of the drape a softness. There was some lint I rolled off it may have some from all the other pieces washed together.  Variation stretch: Soft draping perfect for gored skirts soft dresses. Classic cross hatch, nice and crisp, washed well. Perfect for a proper denim jacket, corset or bustier, jeans, skirts - nice with seaming/piecing and top stitching.  Width: 58" 100% cotton closeout

This is one of my favorites, It has a good feel not super stiff, good indigo color in a twill that mostly shows the indigo color, not the lighter, along with a slub so it is extra blue. Softened up nicely. Suitable for coats, jackets, skirts, and jeans.  Width: 62 - 63.5" Content: 100% cotton, sanforized minimal shrinkage. closeout, designer Please reach out with any questions on denim care. This washed up well but I still recommend laying flat in tepid water for an hour to remove starch and hanging dry straight and flat, reshape and press when damp/almost dry.

Premium denim with a special premium finish for keeping the stretch in shape and also premium finish on the dye - made with climate forward practices. This denim has 3% recycled elastine and offers extra stretch. Think Fashion on this, tight skirts and dresses, insets on jackets, etc (and jeans). Width: 49" Content: 97% organic cotton, 3% recycled elastine Made in Italy, Candiani This is sanforized so shrinking in minimal. Sew directly or to remove starch please lay flat in a tub for 30 min to a day, hang straight, and press/reshape while slightly damp. Do not throw in washer and dryer. There wasn't any serious marking from the washer in the first wash with soap. Down the road it you choose to use the washer please turn inside out. NO dryer. 

Perfect Japanese selvedge shirting, indigo with tan, selvedge. Shirting weight. Suitable for shirts and other types of tops but think outside the box, utilize the selvedge stripe. Available by the yard, a 5 yard deal, and a swatch - see drop down. Fabric care guidance: This shirting is starched for easier manufacturing. I soaked in tepid water to release starch for a day, hang dry, and there was to shrinkage. To soak, it is best practice to lay fabric flat like in a tub and hang dry straight from clips. I have 2 widths. The 6mm is flat and suitable for accents as a seam cover, neck/shoulder seams, pockets, take it everywhere. Also there is a binder 10mm on each side. Please note both stretch cross not with the length. This makes it easy to wrap an edge or for covering a seam but does not stretch lengthwise.There is a crease for folding. It will do curve depending on how severe but I recommend dampening in the curve and steaming to shrink and mold first. Also consider using on another fiber for contrast. made in Japan 100% wool

Crisp vibrant teal wool binder 10mm on each side with a crease for the fold. Please note this stretches cross not with the length. This makes it easy to wrap an edge or for covering a seam but does not stretch lengthwise. The binder will stretch over the boiled wool, not super heavy coating but a medium coat and jacket weight. Feel free to ask questions. It will do curve depending on how severe but I recommend dampening in the curve and steaming to shrink and mold first.
