By the yard, firm, upholstery weight velvet with a texture in the pile, backed for upholstery. Durable but the hand is very soft. This will make a fantastic chair! Aside from the coating on the back this is not synthetic - burns rayon there is some cotton. This is beautiful and this price is a steal.

This piece is from a lot of luxury deadstock home decor fabrics from Quatrine and Wall Fabrics in Australia. I have some tags, these are mostly sample rolls, they don't appear to be treated in anyway or washed from the documentation I have. These are recently used not old. Mills are in Mexico, Italy, and Spain. Some say Kravat and Perennial. Prices are below wholesale from what I see. Swatches are available. Some are natural fiber others look natural but are top shelf synthetic using solution dyed acrylic. When I say "outdoor" these pieces are not as soft and feel appropriate for outdoor but I cannot say anything about sun exposure.
