Another gorgeous piece, this came from the same lot from Monique. It is spectacular, the tag was not on this but it is of the same quality. There is a fair amount of poly but if feels like there is a blend with some silk but hard to verify. The finish the hand is delicate and beautiful it does not feel like poly at all. It is top and the color is right NOW! Suitable for shift dresses, skirts big or pencil, tops to heavy for blouses, if you want to make a little suit type jacket it will need underlining to give more structure. This is not as heavy and thick as some of the brocades but has body.

Surplus Monique LH, this is spectacular....really and now I know what panels are for! A floor length Couture Party Skirt. There are only 2 panels here and the retail on this would be about $300 (I have the wholesale price). The size is 1 yard and 30" and 55" wide. Black and midnight blue play off each other with a little sparkle floral brocade. The bottom more opaque section has little diamond shapes woven into it. Every attention to detail has been considered.
Content: 29% silk, 26% nylon, 23% polyester, 15% cotton, 5% acrylic, 2% metallic.

All I am saying is that this came from an archive of a model in the 1960's turned designer, her father worked in the entertainment business. This piece had a tag that said "Cher" that is all I know. I have 3 cuts the 4 yard piece has a couple of drip spots closer to the sides on the ivory stripes that are invisible when laid on ivory I have discounted at a 3.5 yard piece.

Trying to get more. From Goutarel like the others, the base is like a black organza silk with the raised black metallic and satin floating roses which are poly. A lighter slighty transparent, really meant to be first underlined. It is perfect for a Couture Party Skirt. Retail on this would be around $159. Price is per yard.
